In addition to almost twelve years working as a mediator and nineteen as an attorney, Ms. Blackwood served for nearly twelve years on the Town of Williston Planning Commission, several of those as the chair.  From those experiences, she has developed a good understanding of zoning, planning, and permitting issues and the role of community input in those decisions.  She is a member of the U.S. District Court Early Neutral Evaluation panel.
