The Board of Bar Examiners is charged with determining the eligibility of applicants as part of the admission process to the Vermont bar, in accordance with the Rules of Admission to the Bar of the Vermont Supreme Court.  This includes administering the Vermont bar exam, reviewing all applications for admission without exam for eligibility, and determining the eligibility of foreign-educated applicants to sit for the bar exam.

The Board of Bar Examiners is comprised of nine Examiners (seven attorneys and two lay persons) and eight Associate Examiners (all attorneys), all of whom are appointed by the Supreme Court.  Currently, the Board is as follows:
