Times Argus - "Supreme Court building centennial celebrated":
A large assembly of the state’s top civic and legal leaders turned out Friday to celebrate the centennial of the Vermont Supreme Court building.
Attendees included emcee of ceremonies Chief Justice Paul Reiber, Gov. Phil Scott, House Judiciary Committee Chairwoman Rep. Maxine Grad, and a host of county court justices from around the state.
They were celebrating the permanent seat of the state’s highest court, which opened May 7, 1918. The ceremony included histories of the birth of the Supreme Court and each county court in successive order of creation, and a smattering of landmark decisions through the years. There was also a re-enactment of one of the Supreme Court’s earliest cases in the court chamber.
